How can we make it better?
Teri Garstka, Ph.D., Director, Social Innovation Lab
A big idea incubator with a make it happen attitude.
We are a multidisciplinary university lab that explores the dynamic connections between people, places, and things within complex social systems. At the intersection of technology, data, and research, our lab seeks to understand and drive positive change at scale. We’ve researched and worked with diverse ecosystems across the lifespan - from early childhood to older adulthood and everything in between. We also work as a university bridge between public, non-profit, and private sectors - from public health and prevention to social services and community-based practitioners to healthcare and corporate innovators. We translate across divides, incubate and nurture new ideas for the greater good, and bring the will to make them happen.
The KU Social Innovation Lab is located within the Lifespan Institute at the University of Kansas in vibrant Lawrence KS.
